Liverpool FC has released a new home shirt for the 2022-23 season, with Nike branding to keep it minimal. Of course, there has been a wave of criticism from fans of the Kop on social media, saying it looks so plain and simple, like taking a dozen shirts from Bobae with a Liver Bird badge.

The American sports product was hit hard in comments on Twitter and Instagram. While ratings that fans voted for one hour after its launch were just 2- out of -10 .

That’s because the jersey is very smooth, opting for a round neckline in a bright red color. Contrasting with ufabet club crest , brand sponsor on chest , left sleeve and white ‘ SWU ‘ crest .

The only commendable change will be the contemporary redesign ‘YNWA’ lettering , 97 on the back of the neckline alongside the flames, signifying the death toll from the Hillsborough disaster, rising from 96. And a new number and letter font design on the back of the shirt.

The inspiration for the design was drawn from the Scouser’s life-bearing attitude, the boldness, the no-nonsense design. That convey the serious local mentality and gave Liverpool a unique identity.

” We are all proud to wear the Liverpool shirt and be part of the ‘SWU ‘ family , ” midfielder captain Jordan Henderson said to the sponsors.

“ We immediately knew how much this jersey meant to the fans. Can’t wait to wear it on the pitch at Anfield. ”

Although it is not specified when it will be use. But traditionally the new home shirt will be worn at the end of an Anfield game in the league. Wolverhampton Wanderers (22 May ) , while the Champions League final meets Real Madrid ( 28 May ) , still wearing the same jersey .
